Try it in your own garage. If the space doesn't work, send it back within 30 days.

WHY PRACTICE INDOORS

Most golf is actually improved indoors.

The driving range closes at dusk. The golf course is closed in February. The garage, however, remains open every evening throughout the year. Equipped with indoor golf launch monitors, this otherwise underutilized space has been transformed into a facility where you can hit 80 balls while gaining precise data on the flight path of each one.

01

Every night is a range night

Rain, dark, frost, 9pm on a Tuesday — none of it cancels a session. Lanifun X runs off its internal 3000mAh battery, so there’s no cable to route across the garage floor and no socket to find.

02

Numbers, not guesses

At an outdoor range you watch a ball disappear into the light and guess. Indoors, ball speed, club speed, smash factor and start direction appear on the portrait LCD the moment the ball leaves the face.

03

Quiet enough for a shared house

A single speaker gives you the audio cue per shot, with volume steps and a silent mode. Indoors that matters more than any spec: you can practise at 11pm without waking anyone.

WHERE IT FITS

Six rooms that already work.

You don’t need a dedicated simulator room. You need a mat, a net, and about two metres of clear floor behind the ball.

Indoor Golf Launch Monito-Single-car garage

Single garage bay

The classic indoor setup. Pull the car out, roll down a mat, hang a net at the far end. Concrete floors reflect radar cleanly.
Depth 4.5 m+     Ceiling 2.4 m
Best for Irons & driver
Indoor Golf Launch Monito-Single-car garage

Basement or cellar

Low ceiling? Stick to irons, wedges and half swings — radar tracks the ball, not the apex, so a 2.2 m ceiling is workable for short game work.
Depth 4 m+     Ceiling 2.2 m+
Best for Wedges & irons
Indoor Golf Launch Monito-Single-car garage

Spare room or home office

Foam balls and a pop-up net in front of a bookshelf. This is where indoor-specific ball compensation earns its keep.
Depth 3.5 m+     Ceiling 2.3 m+
Best for Foam-ball sessions

Garden room or shed

Unheated spaces are fine: the device is rated from -10 °C to 50 °C. Keep it dry and out of direct rain and it will live out there permanently.
Depth 4 m+     Temp -10 to 50 °C
Best for Year-round

Net cage / simulator enclosure

Already got a cage? Drop Lanifun X behind the hitting strip and it reads through the net opening — no re-calibration when you move it.
Depth 4 m+     Setup Full bag

Office or club breakout room

Indoor golf launch monitors get used for corporate events and coaching studios too. One device, five-minute teardown, no permanent install.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

How much room does an indoor golf launch monitor need?

Short answer: a hitting mat, a net, and roughly 2 metres of clear space behind the ball. Here’s the honest version, measured.

Indoor Golf Launch Monito-indoor-setup-diagram

Behind ball

1.5 – 2.4 m (5 – 8 ft) of clear floor

Radar sits behind the hitter and reads the ball as it leaves the face. Keep metal shelving and running fans out of this lane.

To the net

2.4 m (8 ft) minimum, 3 m ideal

Enough for the ball to fly before it hits the net. Foam balls need less; full-flight balls need more.

Ceiling

2.4 m for irons · 2.7 m+ for a full driver swing

Basement with a low ceiling? Work wedges and three-quarter swings — you still get full ball and club data.

Width

2.4 m (8 ft) is comfortable

Narrower rooms work if you're hitting straight at a net; you just want clearance for the follow-through.

Lighting

Nothing special — radar doesn't care

Unlike camera-based units, there's no calibration board, no bright even lighting, and no marked balls required.

Flooring

Any flat surface

Concrete, carpet, laminate, or a hitting mat. The built-in tripod legs adjust to uneven garage floors.
Indoor Mode

Indoor Practice, Realistic Numbers

Different clubs produce different ball speeds and flight distances compared to practice range conditions. If your launch monitor ignores these differences, your indoor practice results may look overly optimistic.

Indoor Mode lets you tell the Lanifun X which club you’re using—whether it’s a driver, 7-iron, or sand wedge—and adjusts your carry distance and total distance data to reflect realistic on-course equivalents.

WHAT YOU SEE INDOORS

Every swing instantly generates 11 data points.

This data is transmitted via the device’s built-in Bluetooth and synced in real time to the Lanifun app on your mobile phone.

Carry Distance

Yards/Meters

How far the ball flew before it first landed. It is the number you actually club off, not the total after the roll.
Total Distance

Yards/Meters

How far the ball ended up after it landed and rolled out — carry plus roll, the full journey of the shot.
Roll Distance

Yards/Meters

How far the ball rolled after it landed — the gap between carry and total that the ground quietly decides.
Smash Factor

0.00 – 1.50

Ball speed divided by club head speed — the closest thing to a stamp of how cleanly you struck it.
Clubhead Speed

mph / km/h

How fast the club was moving when it met the ball — the raw power you bring before smash factor shows what you kept.
Ball Speed

mph / km/h

How fast the ball leaves the club face — the number that decides how far it can possibly travel.
Angle of Attack

Degrees

Whether the club met the ball travelling up or down — the angle that sets how high and how far your shot can fly.
Launch Angle

Degrees

The angle the ball left the club face at — paired with ball speed, it is what lets the carry actually happen.
Apex (Peak Height)

Feet

How high the ball climbed at the top of its flight — the peak that keeps it in the air long enough to carry.
Flight Time

Seconds

How long the ball stayed in the air from strike to landing — the clock on your whole shot.
Spin Rate

rpm (revolutions per minute)

How many times the ball turns each minute in the air — the force that lifts it, holds it, and brings it down.
SETUP

From box to first shot in 30 seconds.

Position the Device

Place the Lanifun X 1.5–2.4 m behind the ball, facing the target.
~10 sec

Set Up the Tripod

Unfold the three built-in legs without tools. Adjust for uneven floors or thick mats.
~5 sec

Select Your Club

Choose your club in Indoor Mode. Pair the app once for automatic reconnection.

FAQ

Indoor golf launch monitor questions.

Everything people ask before they buy one for a garage, a basement, or a spare room.

Q: How do I turn on the sound for the Lanifun X?

A: You need to double-press a button to activate the sound function on the Lanifun X.

Q: Why is the device suddenly unable to connect to the app?

A: This is usually caused by a network disconnection during use, leading the app to freeze temporarily while checking the signal. Simply close the app, ensure your network connection is stable, and restart the app to reconnect. If that doesn’t work, disconnect and then reconnect the Bluetooth.

Q: What color does the Lanifun X show when fully charged?

A: The light turns solid green (stops flashing) when fully charged.

Q: How long does it take to charge the Lanifun X?

A: It normally takes about 10 hours to fully charge, though this depends on the charger used; using a fast-charging adapter typically takes around two hours.

Q: What color is the light while the Lanifun X is charging?

A: The red light flashes during charging.

Q: Why can't the Lanifun golf app upload or save data to the cloud?

A: Data cannot be uploaded to the cloud while the app is offline, so it won’t appear in the data display section. Once connected to the internet, the uploaded cloud data will become visible.

Q: What should I do if I walk away (stopping practice) or the Bluetooth disconnects on my Android or iOS device?

A: The golf monitor will automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity. When you are ready to use it again, turn the device on; it will automatically reconnect to the previously paired Bluetooth. Opening the app will also trigger an automatic check and reconnection to the device.

Q: How do I download the Lanifun app?

A: Search for “Lanifun” in your mobile app store to download the Lanifun Golf app.
